Fancy a bit of Canadian Rock(ies) ‘n’ roll (sorry) to bring your humdrum week to a close? Then you are in luck as Saskatchewan post-hardcore duo The Faps bring their guitar-fuelled racket to the region. Best known for their recent release, New Daft Punk EP, the duo play “math-rock for home-schooled kids,” or “avant-punk-jazz”, depending on what review you are reading, and will be lighting up the North-East with some wild and intimate performances at The North Terrace NE2, Newcastle on Friday 15th September and at Mountain Daisy, Sunderland on Saturday 16th September

Supporting the band on the Newcastle show are jazz infused bedroom pop quartet SwanNek. For the Sunderland date grunge-jazz newcomers Labyrinthine Oceans have been added to the bill. Getting in on the action for both events is Sunderland songwriter CP Thompson who recently released his latest single Colour via sandwich!

Tickets for either show are £5 OTD.
