Non-jazz trio Taupe are to release a new 25 minute session video on 2nd February. Filmed at Dystopian Studios (a converted Victorian Undertaker’s building in Glasgow) this Bandcamp Live streaming event captures all the raw energy and excitement of the band’s live show.

This is the band’s first Bandcamp Live release and their first release since their 2020 album, Not Blue Light. This premiere consists mainly of live versions of music from that record, and represents an opportunity for audiences to see the group play this material despite a cancelled UK and EU album tour at the time of the release. The band will be in attendance on the chat feature after the stream for a short Q & A.

Saxophonist Jamie Stockbridge adds: “We were lucky enough to tour in August 2021 but some people still felt unable to attend in the current climate. What Bandcamp Live is enabling us to do is share some music from our latest album in a way where everyone feels safe and can support both the artists and the amazing platform that Bandcamp is for DIY artists like us.”

You can catch the session on Bandcamp Live at 8pm here. The event is free but donations are welcome and merchandise sales will be available.
