Jamie Beddard’s Delicate comes to Arts Centre Washington on Thursday 20th October. It’s a show about how things need to fall apart before they can fall into place and is a raw and relatable story where you should expect the unexpected.

It follows four individuals who have different lives but are frustrated with their bodies changing, ageing, breaking, no longer obeying. They’re outraged that they can’t override this and so climb, hang, balance, slide, collapse, hold and hug, as well as examine marks life has left on their bodies. In the background, fragments of film and audio mirror these marks in the wounds inflicted on our planet.

The audience is invited to watch these characters implode, assess the damage, and maybe rebuild themselves. It’s a show about fighting the grind of what’s expected, and Beddard hopes you might feel inspired to do the same.

Tickets are £9/£7.50 (conc)/£5 (students) and can be booked here.
