On Saturday 7th August, The Middlesbrough Empire brings the supremely talented Youngr to their venue as part of their Shangri-la Club night. For those who have lived in a cave throughout lockdown and are not in the know, Youngr (the son of Kid Creole of Kid Creole & The Coconuts fame) is a one man music making sensation who brings energy and a plethora of influences to his shows including funk, house and pop. He’s had over 50 million Spotify streams and his reputation for mind-bending live solo performances has made him rather popular on YouTube.

Youngr has a slew of singles, EPs and albums to his name releasing 15 singles, 2 albums and an EP since 2016 through Island Records and Armen van Buuren’s Armada Music.

Empire DJ Ste Allen adds “When we announced this gig Youngr commented ‘I don’t think I’ve ever been so excited to go to Middlesbrough’ but there’s no way that he can be as excited as we are!”

Doors 10PM. Entry is £8 on the door.
