The North-East documentary filmmakers are asking for support to help complete their latest film which looks at the impact of Punk on the region
Author and documentary filmmaker Rob Kilburn of North-East documentary makers Tyne and Weird has been busy directing his latest project entitled, Organised Chaos. The film looks at punk and its impact on the region, in particular its venues and performers. It will feature interviews with Mensi (Angelic Upstarts) Baz Warne (Stranglers) and Olga (Toy Dolls) to name just a few as well as giving insight into the D.I.Y scene with venues such as The Garage, The Bunker and The Station.
The project has already brought together a great deal of never before seen archives of gigs and long gone venues in the NE. There is other great stuff out there which can be costly to licence and so Tyne and Weird have set up a Crowdfunder to help pay for this, an animator to create a title sequence and professional artworks and to produce limited edition DVDs as a reward for anyone who donates. Their stretch target will allow Tyne and Weird to host a premier of the documentary.
