Celebrating their 10th anniversary this year, Middlesbrough’s metropolitan music festival Twisterella have announced the first wave of artists to perform at the event.

Taking place on Saturday 12th October across multiple venues in Middlesbrough, performances will come from Belfast post-punk trio Chalk, noisy Norwegians Pom Poko, and Durham’s indie pop favourites Martha, along with an impressive supporting cast of talent from the local area and further afield, including the return of Teesside’s rabble-rousing disco-punks Be Quiet! Shout Loud!, Moon Wax, Pet Snake, Melanie Baker, Provenance, The Joshua Hotel, Velkro, Brodie Milner, Fiona-Lee and Make Friends.

Andy Carr, co-promoter of Twisterella, reiterates the festival’s mission to support grassroots artists:

Our commitment to bringing the very best national and international emerging talent to the centre of Middlesbrough remains undiminished, and we return for this year’s edition with the biggest Twisterella yet.”

Tickets priced at £17.50 (14-17 yrs) and £25 (18+) are available now.
