Reliably informed

The global pandemic has prevented most of us from doing all the good stuff in life. Oh how we miss our foreign holidays, a stranger’s touch and, of course, Middlesbrough’s award winning multi-venue festival, Twisterella, which was so cruelly taken from us last year.

The good news is that it is back on Saturday 9th October 2021 (yay) with hotly tipped emerging artists including The Howl & The Hum, Lauran Hibberd, Jordan Mackampa, Dream Nails, MarthaGunn and HYYTS among the first wave of critically acclaimed artists announced. They will be performing in established venues such as Teesside University Students’ Union, The Townhouse, TSOne and The Westgarth Social Club, along with pop-up sessions in some of the town’s coolest bars in nearby Baker Street and Bedford Street

Also announced are Spyres, Dream Nails, I See Rivers, Swim School, Talkboy, Lizzie Reid, Cherym, Cheerbleederz, Odina, Memes, One Nine, Venus Grrrls, Straight Girl, Fortitude Valley, Mt. Misery, James Leonard Hewitson, Jodie Nicholson, Twist Helix, Campbell Sibthorpe, Frankie Beetlestone, Jake Whiskin, Bare Roots, Blanketman, Luke Royalty, Marketplace, Phibi and Leopard Rays.

The event is promoted by Henry Carden (Pay For The Piano) alongside Andy Car (The Kids Are Solid Gold), who is delighted to once again announce the lineup for this great music festival…

“It is thrilling to get this latest announcement out there and we are so excited for this line up. After the uncertainty of the past year there’ll be no better way to reconnect in the heart of Middlesbrough. We can’t wait to welcome everyone back to Twisterella. Twisterella is such a special event and we’re incredibly proud of what it means to the region’s music fans.”

Tickets for Twisterella 2021 are available now, priced at £20 here. Tickets purchased for Twisterella 2020 are valid for 2021’s event, or refunds are available from point of purchase.
