With massive hair (at least in case of frontman, Stevie Stoker) and a load of even bigger anthems to go with it, North East megastars-in-waiting Twister take to Sage Gateshead’s stage on Saturday 29th December to make sure you finish off 2018 in the most rocking way possible.

They’ve been around a while and, from this writer’s perspective, seem to have eschewed the grind of the grassroots venues and aimed big from the very start. Clocking up support slots with the likes of Status Quo, Simple Minds and Scouting for Girls, they’ve aimed high and more or less hit.

Following a single launch at Stockton’s Georgian Theatre in early November, Stoker sees it as something of a farewell to the past and a jump into a new era for the band: “It’s an amazing feeling when a venue as prestigious as Sage Gateshead ask you to do a show there.” He continues, “We are in the studio at the moment working on new music, some of which we’ll be playing in December. We can’t wait to show people what we’ve been working on and give them a sneak preview of what 2019 will have in store.”
