Art galleries and art spaces around the UK might be closed to the public at the moment, but that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy a bit of art as part of your daily exercise. In 2019, art exhibitors, The Spaghetti Factory turned the whole of the region into one big art gallery as part of their Graffiti Map Of The North-East project. It highlighted some of the excellent work that is out there on walls, doors and other surfaces in our towns and cities that reflects on society, or simply makes us smile as we walk by.

To create new routes and offer more people more art to check out on their daily lockdown walk, run, cycle, The Spaghetti Factory are asking for people to enjoy their map (click here) like an art trail and submit their favourite graffiti from around the region. The map will be regularly updated and QR stickers can be found at some of the sites so you can find out more about the work.

To submit a piece graffiti in the North East to the map email spaghettofactoro@gmail.com or message us on The Spaghetti Factory Instagram and include:

1. The location (a dropped pin on Google Maps or a street address)
2. What you like about the art or any story behind it.
3. An image of the graffiti, if possible.
