Further cementing itself as the festival to be seen at this year, Stockton Calling today announce yet another cracking headline act to perform at the all-day festival on Saturday 16th April.

The Social Room stage will be programmed by forward thinking activists Noisy Daughters, who support female artists and bands in the region. Their headliner will be Liverpool-based garage rockers The Mysterines, who have been rightly praised for their fuzzy guitar sounds, grungy anthems and electrifying live show. The band are set to release their hotly anticipated debut album in March, which touches on themes of grief, heartache and self-destruction, wrapped up in black humour and powerful melodies.

Sarah from Noisy Daughters is excited for the band’s set: “Having seen The Mysterines play live at Twisterella Festival a few years back, we were absolutely blown away by them and have been wanting to work with them ever since. The band’s rise to headlining festivals is truly deserved and with Lia Metcalfe’s blisteringly powerful vocals twinned with the band’s wall of sound, we are so excited to have the band come and headline our Noisy Daughters stage.”

The band join a festival line-up which also includes fellow headliners fellow headliners Self Esteem, Bob Vylan, Komparrison, The Pigeon Detectives and The Reytons, with other acts recently confirmed including The Let Go, Courting, Stone, The Zen Arcade, Shambolics, Duck, CVC, Frankie Beetlestone, Cara Rose, English Teacherbigfatbig, Faye Fantarrow, Joe Ramsey, Leopard Rays, Luke Royalty, Michael Gallagher, Moon Wax, Mt. Misery, MXYM, Nel Unlit, Ocean Floor, Pit Pony, Samantha Durnan, Sarah Johnsone, Shore, stebee, The Shakin’ Nightmares, Wax Heart Sodality, We Tibetans and ZELA.

Tickets for Stockton Calling, which takes place on Saturday 16th April across venues in Stockton, are priced at £31 via Dice.
