An underground, super-group featuring members from The Fat White Family and Eccentronic Research Council, The Moonlandingz are as brilliant and strange as they come. A fictitious concept made real, the band are a cluster of galactic anarchy, sweat-smothered oversized suits, bust lips, and unattainable charm.

First conceived as a plot device for Eccentronic Research Council’s album Johnny Rocket, Narcissist & Music Machine… I’m Your Biggest Fan (which was narrated by the fictional stalker of a fictional rock star in a fictional band in a fictional northern town), The Moonlandingz are now a real band, birthed from the whirlwind of imagination bursting from each individual member.

Their filthy, provocative hyper-reality has now broken through, and their brash, electro-punk-rock has sailed boldly into the music circuit. Debut album Interplanetary Class Classics appears on Friday 24th March, a collection described as “a celebration of the outsider, the depressed, the sexually inept, the disenfranchised, the politically unengaged or undecided, the bullied, the lonely, those people at point break”, and no doubt brimming with plenty of heavy, controversial howls. Their live shows are become known quite the 4D experience, so expect something unique if you’re thinking of joining the chaos at The Cluny on Wednesday 22nd March.
