The Cumberland Arms is set to host the Newcastle leg of a tour featuring The Magic Lantern and Alabaster DePlume with local talent Ditte Elly also set to play, there’s some magical musicianship in store on Monday 7th November.

The Magic Lantern is an artist filled with sincerity; an arresting, beguiling voice that is complemented by a guitar style that is rich in the influences it draws from, whether folksy or fingerpicking, Flamenco or West African, he makes it all his own and is a real star on the rise. Joined by Alabaster Deplume, theatrical in his bringing to life of jazz and folk, with stories vivaciously injected with his own unique style. Rounding it out is Newcastle based folk(ish) singer with Danish heritage, Ditte Elly; the understated music maker crafts real beauty in some charming numbers that have a haunting undercurrent. A Monday night in the company of this trio sounds like something very special indeed.
