The neo trad quintet bring their debut album to Tyneside
Up for some stellar neo trad from one of Scotland’s finest quintets? Well, you’re in luck. The Elephant Sessions – who released their album The Elusive Highland Beauty to great acclaim a few months ago – are playing at The Cluny on Tuesday 9th December. The instrumental debut deftly combines traditional folk music with a melange of other genres to create a thoroughly engaging and interesting experience. Clearly talented musicians, the band are sure to put on a great performance.
Support comes in the form of Metro Champion, a Newcastle trio who combine highland bagpipes, guitar and the bodhran in a fresh approach to a traditional genre.
