As one of 18 dates they’ll be playing thoughout UK and Ireland as part of a European tour, The Divine Comedy head to Sage Gateshead on Monday 17th October, and such is the demand for tickets that the show has now been upgraded to Sage One.

It’ll be a chance to hear tracks from eagerly anticipated eleventh album Foreverland, which is due for release in September, and the ever intelligent, sumptuous pop on offer will most likely have an enamoured audience right in the palm of Neil Hannon’s hand. With a six year wait since the last album, fans will be delighted with the return of The Divine Comedy, as one of the most underrated bands of recent times bring more smart lyrics and beautiful melodies to the majestic Gateshead venue.
