Immersive event The Bang Bang Bar, taking place at The Cluny on Saturday 6th April, is an absolute must for any Twin Peaks fan. Expect black coffee cocktails, music from the show, live performance from Polish actor, performer and singer Mariae Smiarowska, songs by Charlie Thomas, plus a specially formed Twin Peaks themed super group HELL GOD BABY DAMN NO!, which features members of Okay Champ, Shy-Talk, Apologies and the Screenage Kicks Allstars, plus immersive performance from members of The Jeepers Peepers Club. If that wasn’t enough, there will also be Twin Peaks-themed art works from Anthony Downie, whose illustrations will be on sale.

Promoter Rachel Rose gives us her insight into the inspiration behind the night:  “David’s Lynch’s Twin Peaks: A Limited Events Series forces the viewer to continuously return to places of trauma and never quite give the answer you are hoping for. Following countless viewings of the 2017 series I found myself stopping at a certain point towards the end and going back to the start. One place that we are continuously brought to is The Bang Bang Bar, formerly known, and still referred to, as The Roadhouse; a biker dive on the road in and out of the turmoil-filled town. The stage is permanently occupied by artists and songs that aim to capture the mood of the narrative of the current episode, with a soundtrack featuring Nine Inch Nails, Chromatics, Rebekah Del Rio, ZZ Top, Sharon Van Etten, Hudson Mohawke and Au Revior Simone. I think I reached a point where I just had to find a way of processing this outside of the four walls of my flat and celebrate it with others who have been hypnotized by the show.”
