Never heard of Alphabetti Theatre? In a nutshell, they create, produce and program new and original work from up and coming artists and performing artists across the North East. Since formig in 2012, specifically for the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, they decided to set up a space where emerging artists like themselves could have a space to perform in.

Recently, Alphabetti Theatre have moved out of their upstairs room at the Dog & Parrot in Newcastle and have taken out a six-month trial residency in a basement within the old office bloxk on New Bridge Street West. They’ve already begun working on turning the area into a multipurpose performance space (and getting that all-important alcohol license!) but they also need your help to raise more funds!

Alphabetti are now running a crowdfunding campaign and with twelve days left they’ve got about £1,685 to raise. Of course, they’re not asking you to donate money for nothing. As a thank you, the theatre will be offering some amazing rewards, including a photo shoot, a private gig, a home-cooked meal for four and a season ticket to see all the productions in their spring season. Plus, of course, you’ll be helping to secure the future of one of the city’s most innovative theatres. You can’t ask for more than that!
