Matthew Bellwood brings his recent creative masterpiece Terror From The Skies to a variety of locations across the region. It’s a solo storytelling show not only about society, community and friendship but about the things we treasure in the places we call home.

Set on a warm summer’s day in a local graveyard, where a group of people pass the time aimlessly chatting and wandering, unbeknownst to them an unknown terror in the sky is lurking behind the trees… Bellwood combines live storytelling, projected illustrations and intricate miniatures to question what the powerful elite know or even care about our communities. Taking on themes of friendship, shared belonging and the impact of capitalism on local communities, this thought-provoking production explores topics of grave importance through moments of warmth and emotion, contrasting with easy-going humour and wit, to provide an evening of inventive and inquisitive storytelling.

Terror From The Skies is at Arts Centre Washington on Thursday 19th; Live Theatre, Newcastle on Friday 20th-Saturday 21st; The Witham, Barnard Castle on Friday 27th September; Queens Hall Arts Centre, Hexham on Tuesday 1st-Wednesday 2nd and ARC, Stockton on Thursday 3rd-Friday 4th October
