Newcastle’s finest swing-honkytonk-rockabilly band show their love for their favourite boozer with a musical extravaganza
Everyone has a favourite pub (mine is the Half Moon in Darlington by the way), a place you meet friends, have a bit of lone reflection time and enjoy a drink or two. Well even Newcastle’s finest swing-honkytonk-rockabilly band, Rob Heron & The Tea Pad Orchestra have a favourite boozer and luckily for them they are showing their love by putting on a musical extravaganza.
The Tea Pad’s Sunshine Medicine Show takes place out on the terrace of The Cumberland Arms, Newcastle on Sunday 11th August (from 3pm) and features a whole array of ear arousing talent. Joining Rob Heron & The Tea Pad Orchestra will be Sheffield’s folky rock ‘n’ rollers, The Buffalo Skinners, Rockabilly loveliness from local favourites Miss Mary & The Mr Rights and a set of country folk from Memphis Gerald (musical alias of Ben Fitzgerald from Tea Pad Orchestra).
And if that wasn’t enough there will be DJ sets from Lady Annabella, Rob Heron & Stagger Lee Fisher to keep the party pumping before, between and after the bands.
For those skint coming back from their holiday in Lanzarote, then don’t worry as the event is absolutely free. Cheers!
