Tales Of The Tyne are a brand new events company, aiming to host lots of successful new events around the North East. They’re starting in style too, with their first event coming up at The Central on Tuesday 5th January. It’s going to be something of a unique night incorporating live music and storytelling, and features Barry Hyde of The Futureheads, who has been making waves with his solo material of late.

The North East music scene is thriving at the moment, and this could be a lovely new addition to that, offering something a little bit different, with the element of storytelling giving something of a unique flavour to other gigs, and lead to what is sure to be a warm and welcoming evening. Founded by local musicians working towards a degree in music performance at The Academy Of Music And Sound in Gateshead, they’re young and talented, and their fresh exuberance should be a massive boost and see Tales Of The Tyne really kick on in 2016.

With the gig also set to help independent charity Caring For Kian, it’s a show well worth a look.

Tales Of The Tyne takes place at The Central, Gateshead on Tuesday 5th January.
