As the nights seem to be getting colder, so grows the need for huddling together in a beautifully intimate, warm and welcoming little venue like Empty Shop HQ in Durham; and then listening to fun filled music to get lost in. Well, such a need is filled perfectly on Wednesday 17th February, as an assortment of punk influenced bands make for a perfect evening’s entertainment.
There’s Durham’s own T-Shirt Weather providing catchy pop punk with bouncy choruses and just the right amount of attitude. They’ll appear alongside fellow Durham natives No Ditching, who’ll provide similar pop sensibilities with an angsty punk attitude; the all female five-piece have quite the knack for writing spectacularly wry lyrics which are a real treat for the ears. Carnist bring a heavier, more hardcore punk sound from London, while rounding it all out are Sheffield’s The Reposessed, very fast and very loud, there’s a sprinkling of everything punk can be from four awesome bands.
