The Globe hosts some truly excellent music this week, as four incredible bands with a penchant for the bluesy and the psychedelic play the Newcastle venue on Wednesday 31st August.

All the way from Japan come Sundays And Cybele, their dense, melancholic psychedelia filled with explosive guitar effects is sure to grab new fans who come fresh to them at this gig. FRET! hail from a lot closer to home, but their no wave, folky, dirgey sounds are a welcome addition to the bill. Fellow phych noise makers Kobadelta bring their raw energy to proceedings, with the bill rounded out by Snakes Don’t Belong In Alaska whose uniquely twisted punk sounds will make this a show to remember.
