The show must go on…just in your living room, wearing your PJs

As we all struggle to come to terms with the new normal we find ourselves in, while also attempting to react to each day’s new fresh hell, some light relief is certainly welcome.
We’re keeping our eyes open for streamed gigs and performances around the UK, and we’ll bring news of these to you as we find them. This week though, two of the region’s foremost songwriters have already pledged to perform online.
First up, songwriter Jodie Nicholson will perform a ‘mini gig’ live via her Facebook page from 8pm on Thursday 19th March. The emotive Teesside artist has received considerable acclaim for her debut album, Golden Hour, which was released last year.
On Friday 20th March, incredible alt. songwriter Martha Hill will be playing a gig from her living room broadcast live via her Facebook or Instagram stories from 8pm. She’ll be raising money to donate to The Trussel Trust, who support a nationwide network of food banks. Martha’s star is certainly in ascendance right now, as her gritty lyrics and catchy style bewitch anyone who sees her.
We’ll be there with a cuppa (ahem…glass of wine) to enjoy these superb songwriters doing what they do best, hope you will be too.
