There’s great news for fans of spiky, attitude-laden indie pop, as Britpop sensations Sleeper have been announced as the latest Stockton Calling headliner.

The day-long festival, taking place at venues in Stockton on Saturday 8th April, will welcome the award-winning alternative band to the headline slot at The Georgian Theatre. Since returning to the music scene after nearly a decade away, the band have further cemented their reputation as a chart-topping group thanks to the release of their ‘lost’ album, This Time Tomorrow, in 2021. Frontperson Louise Wener’s accessible bravado and the band’s canny knack with a melodic hook remain at the fore, and with a back catalogue which includes songs like the urgent What Do I Do Now? and anthemic Sale of the Century, audiences are promised a sing-along treat from a band who retain a vital spirit and cracking set of songs.

The announcement comes hot on the heels of Stockton Calling’s recent revelation that melodic indie band Circa Waves will headline at ARC, and more announcements are imminent!

Tickets priced at £35 including booking fees are on sale now.
