Reliably informed

The story of Alan ‘Cool’ Clay comes to ARC in Stockton on Wednesday 28th March. Skip Rap serves as a gritty tale of endurance and creativity and is filled with anger and passion. The artist, comedian, performer and rapper takes hip-hop, theatricality and a mix of junk and digital imagery is filled with an earnest reality backdropped by a blistering soundtrack that will get you up on your feet.

It’s a bold performance from a man who has packed a lot into his 41 years and his 15 years experience as an artist and creative lead to an original voice that has endured a lot, with no put down and write off enough to keep this man down. Joined by acclaimed MC, poet and theatre-maker Testament this is the story of Alan’s journey from a difficult background to storming success.

The personal piece is the story of a fascinating man from his point of view, drawing on many art forms and a whole load of passion.

Skip Rap is at ARC Stockton on Wednesday 28th May.
