What does communication mean in modern society? A new play takes a look
Hands On NE brings a new play to showcase the broad spectrum of creative talent in the North-East to The Exchange in North Shields on Friday 11th November. Signals is a curious tale about how four people’s lives become entwined through communication.
Funny and fascinating, it’s a lyrical piece which focuses on the character of Owen, Wales’ greatest nature poet. As a radio mast threatens to intrude on the hillside where he lives, Owen begins to question what modern communication really is. Does the telecoms revolutions actually make life better? In a story centred on how we communicate, we’re also witnessing a passionate love letter to the Welsh hills.
