Those with a love for craft and design will love Shipley Art Gallery’s event
If you’d rather make your own presents this year than touring the usual BHS crap-in-a-basket collection, look no further than the handily timed Shipley Lates event, taking place at the Shipley Art Gallery in Gateshead on Saturday 13th December between 6pm-10pm.
The gallery is a mecca for those with a love of craft and design, and their regular Lates events intend to inspire visitors to get involved. The event will be themed around Christmas crafts, where visitors are encouraged to make their way around a series of artists’ workshops at their own pace, creating beautiful Christmas decorations and gifts. There’s mince pies and wine on offer, making it an ideal social event too and with tickets at just £10 (including your first drink and that all-important mince pie), it’s also a cost effective way to create something different and unique for that special someone this year.
