Modern indie rockers Shanghai Blues bring their sharp and sweet power sound and catchy hook-filled tunes to show shows in the region this month, firstly at Newcastle’s Head of Steam on Thursday 17th and then at Stockton’s Green Room on Friday 18th October.
The gigs are sure to be a real treat for fans of the strengthening independent music scene that’s coming from our region, as a whole host of supporting talent will be on show at both venues. The Head of Steam gig will feature energetic power rockers Post Rome, post-punk trio Whale Hill and alt. stoner rock from new guys Kickin’ Lillies. The Newcastle gig will also be raising money for North East Musicians Against Homelessness so pop a penny (or two) in the bucket if you can.
At The Green Room gig, Shanghai Blues will be supported by the blues rock flavoured guitar sounds of Finn Forster, the super talented producer/singer Joegarratt and acoustic pop duo Komparrison, who show keen writing skills as they sing about love and heartbreak.
