The experimental, eclectic and intriguing performer brings her show to Newcastle

Rozi Plain glides into Newcastle on the promo trail of her resplendent new album What A Boost for an evening at Cobalt Studios on Saturday 4th May, which is sure to be every bit as charming and whimsical as the record.
Any album with subject matter including hunting for draughts in a well-insulated house (Conditions) and recorded in environments as diverse as LA record studios through to dentist studios and former RAF bases hints at the kind of musician Rozi is. Expansive, experimental, eclectic and intriguing at every turn, Rozi is also an infamous collaborator, sharing the stage and studio with luminaries from Francois & The Atlas Mountains, This Is the Kit, Rachel Dadd and Sir Wos; expect her touring band to be a roster of any from the above.
Support comes from Halcyon Jane; a semi-improvised collaboration project spanning two northern musical powerhouses: Newcastle and Hull. Cobalt Studios happily welcome them back following a successful support slot for Yama Warashi last year. Displaying a blend of ethereal vocals, atmospheric soundscapes and radgie beats, you can colour me intrigued.
Cobalt is a fitting venue for an evening of collaboration and experimentation and all for the princely sum of, get this… £7.50. See you there!
