A new music venue, recording and rehearsal space is set to open in Middlesbrough on 28th April
With the closure of Base Camp and Westgarth Social Club Middlesbroughâs music scene has had a bit of a tough time with things as of late. Looking to fill the massive hole in the Teesside circuit that these venues have left is a brand new performance, practice and social space, Rhythms, which is set to open up on Baker Street, in the heart of the town.
Conceived by local DJ, Producer and event promoter Matty Innocent and his partner Tracy Walker; the pair are music fans who have an enormous passion for the local area and the talent right on their doorstep.
The venue opens on Friday 28th April and the launch night will feature acoustic sets from Val Bilton, Brad Robinson & Becky Cook followed by DJ sets from Matt Bilton, Matty Innocent, EllCavell and James Suggett. There will even be a fire eater and a magician bringing further excitement to the proceedings.
Then on Saturday 29th April Zoo Project And Riffraff resident Lee Pennington will be [performing with a load more top-quality original local artists and DJs to be announced in the coming weeks.
As well as the live music Rhythms will have a custom-built studio on the 2nd floor, consisting of a state-of-the-art recording facility with a vocal booth and live room. The space will also include a bookable practice space and a teaching facility, which will offer recording, mixing and mastering, studio engineering, DJing and Music Production tuition.
