Reliably informed

Prepare yourself for what promises to be a night of experimentation, rhythmic tension and potentially a few shattered eardrums, as instrumental prog rock foursome Poly-Math are hitting The Head of Steam in Newcastle on Wednesday 13th November. Renowned for their ingenious riffs and the tightest of synchronicity with each other, these sharp rockers revolve their music around revolutionary artwork and historical events, projecting the uniqueness of their inspiration into their own complex compositions. The Brighton/London-based band demonstrate an accessible path to the math rock genre, incorporating jazz rhythms and 80s prog rock.

Support on the night includes Sheffield-based band Body Hound who tour their new album, No Moon, as well as North East emo rockers Palace Watson, who released their electrifying debut single The Smell earlier this year. Subsequent releases for the Hartlepool/Middlesbrough rockers have come in the form of the emotional track In The Basement, the delicate piano and hard-hitting lyrics of which exude serious My Chemical Romance vibes.
