Indie music legend, the Modfather Paul Weller is set to play a series of gigs as part of Forest Live 2019, with a run of summer shows promoted by the Forestry Commission. There’s a date amongst the little tour set for our region, as the iconic artist plays Dalby Forest, near Pickering, North Yorkshire on Friday 28th June.

With his newest release True Meanings, a staggering fourteenth solo album, proving he still has a knack for churning out hits, Weller shows off a long lasting legacy after more than four decades of masterful songwriting and performing. Whether solo, or with punk heroes The Jam, genre-defying The Style Council and beyond, there’s a wealth of pedigree in all he has done and tracks that have really stood the test of time.

One of the most important figures in the British music scene, Weller’s influence stretches far and wide, and the cultural icon playing these outdoor live music shows, which are backdropped by beautiful, jaw-dropping forests, makes for even more memorable moments. With the money raised from ticket sales helping the nation’s forest’s sustainability, the gigs are doing an immense amount of good too, and the chance to be part of something this special is one to make the most of.
