Promoters The Kids Are Solid Gold have an uncanny knack of bringing future superstars to the region with unnerving regularity. Bands such as Mumford & Sons, Wolf Alice, Catfish & The Bottlemen, The Vaccines, and many more are all highlights on their CV. With this in mind, it’s worth keeping an eye out for any gigs that they schedule and it’s likely that OUTLYA, playing at Little Buildings in Newcastle on Saturday 17th March, are another one of those bands that have the potential to be huge.

DIY Magazine have described them as “if Bastille decided to lob a huge, dirty guitar solo onto their stadium-filling synth-pop,” and the idea that this massive sound will be sweating up Little Buildings is one that should be getting you hot already.

Rising from the ashes of Port Isla and fronted by Will Bloomfield, the anthemic trio are set to take the world by storm with their unique blend of pop and rock. With an eclectic list of influences, from The Beatles to Kanye West, their sound blurs the line between electro and indie with the end result sounding not unlike Friendly Fires. Support on the night comes from indie folkers Tin Pigeons and Newcastle’s own alt. pop band Twist Helix.
