Most people like a beer after work on Friday but if you live near Ouseburn Valley and want to make it a little more interesting, then accompany it with a nice brewery tour to add a bit of background to the flavoursome beverages that many of us drink without much consideration.

Every first Friday of the month between 3:30pm and 7pm, the Ouseburn Trust will host a walking tour of Ouseburn’s favourite breweries, exploring the Valley’s beer heritage through some of today’s most popular venues. The tour will vary each time and will visit at least three breweries including Tyne Bank Brewery, Full Circle Brew Co, Northern Alchemy at the Old Coal Yard, Brinkburn St Brewery, and Out There Brew Co. As well as a tour guide sharing tales of Ouseburn’s beer-based past, Brewers from present day will dish out information about their brewery at each stop.

Tours cost £30 per person with samples included. Those participating will need to be able to walk a total of three miles and are asked to drink responsibly.

Upcoming dates are Friday 1st October, Friday 5th November, and Friday 3rd December. You can book tickets here.
