The indie icons play this year’s festival
Indie icons Ocean Colour Scene have just been announced as headliners for the Saturday night of three-day music and arts festival Lindisfarne Festival, which takes place at Beal Farm, Northumberland from Thursday 29th August to Sunday 1st September.
The Birmingham band always put something of a rock n’ roll swagger into their blistering indie tunes that have really stood the test of time. With a huge number of hit singles, the band are the perfect compliment to a line-up which features a mix of bands with a strong legacy, and fresh, emerging talent.
With North East folk icons Lindisfarne themselves also now announced, this should be a huge chance to hear some unforgettable tracks for fans of our region’s music history. Also joining the weekend line up will be festival favourites Ferocious Dog, Zion Train, Elvana, 3 Daft Monkeys, Tankus the Henge, The Baghdaddies, Colonel Mustard & the Dijon 5, Big Fat Panda, The Skapones, Megan Airlie and HATi with many more still to be announced.
While summer may seem a long way off, the festival that draws the curtain down on the sunny season can’t come quick enough with a strong programme of creative workshops, comedy, spoken word, yoga and holistic therapies on offer as well as luxury glamping packages.”
