The nurturers of North-East comedy team up with independent television producers offer a great opportunity for those who want to produce the next big British comedy show
Nurturers of those who create laughter in the region aka Northern Film + Media’s North East Comedy Hot House are teaming up with independent television producers Tiger Aspect to help uncover and train the best development and producing talent in the region.
If you’re a fan of sitcoms and scripted comedy, have ideas for the next big show and have the passion to turn it into the next big British comedy, then this is the opportunity for you. If you are successful, then for two days a week (for six weeks) you’ll learn how sitcoms and scripted comedies get all the way from idea, to script, to screen.
So, if you are able to demonstrate a proven interest in developing comedy projects for broadcast and have a keen interest in comedy and live in Newcastle, Gateshead, Sunderland, North Tyneside, South Tyneside, County Durham or Northumberland, then fill in an application form along with a CV and cover letter. Deadline for applications is 9am on Monday 19th July.
