Local alt. music promoter Confusion Is Next returns with some cracking shows this Autumn/Winter. First up, they’re hosting Watford indie punks Nervus at the Head of Steam on Thursday 3rd October for their first ever Newcastle show.

Led by the wonderfully honest and outspoken Em Foster, Nervus have blazed a path through the UK underground scene with their cathartic, melodic punk rock anthems. Never shying away from complex issues such as gender dysphoria, identity, depression and politics, Nervus present these themes in a way that is both ferocious and joyful.
The Head of Steam show is part of a UK tour to celebrate the release of their third record Tough Crowd via the excellent Big Scary Monsters record label. Stepping away from their self-produced recording style, the band worked with Neil Kennedy, who has previously worked with Em’s other band, Milk Teeth. (Fun fact: Lucinda from Nervus is also one half of punk/shoegaze duo Cultdreams).

Support comes from Durham’s acoustic pop punk legends ONSIND, who you may also know as Daniel and Nathan from the much-loved Martha. Don’t miss the chance to watch the duo flex their incredible songwriting abilities in an intimate setting.
