We’re aware it’s a little chilly to start thinking about festival season, but one of our favourite events of the year is already looking pretty hot. The one-day multi-venue musical smorgasbord that is Stockton Calling will take place on Saturday 15th April across nine of Stockton’s finest venues (including ARC and Ku Bar, both recently voted as best ‘grassroots venues’ in the North East, fact fans). As always, we’re programming the Green Room stage, and we have a doozy of a line-up!

Headlining are Newcastle’s scuzzy alt. rockers Eat Fast, who are quickly becoming one of the year’s bands to watch thanks to some impressive praise from the likes of Steve Lamacq, the Guardian and Noisey (they’re “Newcastle’s best new band” according to DIY), tours with Honeyblood and their own sold out show in Newcastle late last year has further insinuated the band as a live force to be reckoned with. Miss this set at your peril!

Also making a right ol’ racket on our stage will be radgy hardcore Hartlepudlians Future Horizons and Newcastle’s epic psych-tinged rockers Kobadelta, there’ll be raucous post-punk from hotly tipped trio Casual Threats, alt. pop from Slurs, plus the charming slacker sounds of James Leonard Hewitson and quirky fun from Ridley Woof, plus sets from Teesside songwriter Samantha Durnan and Newcastle noise-makers Bares.

Already confirmed for other stages are local indie pop band Cattle & Cane (Georgian Theatre), Britpop favourites Cast (ARC) and purveyors of thrilling indie disco, White (The Storytellers), plus lots more to be announced very soon. It’s usually a sell-out event, so grab your £17.50 advance ticket now!
