Reliably informed

In the second of our stage focuses for this year’s NARC. Fest, taking place across the Ouseburn Valley, Newcastle on Saturday 4th July, Mark Corcoran-Lettice from Endless Window tell us about his line-up at The Tanners.

“For this year’s NARC Fest, Endless Window is delighted to be showcasing an array of exciting, innovative talent at The Tanners with a bill of diverse, intelligent and incredible electronic art.

Opening the stage is solo producer ako, a talent already attracting significant attention across the region and beyond. His dark and immersive take on house and IDM is foreboding but also curiously beautiful – think a cleaned up version of Salem, or Boards of Canada if they went over to the dark side.

Next up are Grey Tapes, a remarkable collective of producers and songwriters in their own right who have joined forces for new recordings and an outstanding live show. They’ve already amazed crowds across the region, and they’re bound to get The Tanners moving.

We’re also proud to be bringing Zyna Hel to NARC. Fest. Based between Newcastle and Glasgow, Zyna Hel make sci-fi synth-pop that references the classic eighties touchstones but also brings something truly idiosyncratic and singular to proceedings. A superb live act, Zyna Hel is an unmissable addition to the Tanners’ bill.

Headlining the stage are Parastatic, whose second album Recall Fade Return was released to rave reviews earlier this year from publications including Drowned in Sound. Merging post-rock guitars, pulsing programming and insistent rhythms, Parastatic’s sound is warmly inviting and boldly futuristic at the same time – it’s a delight to have them closing out the Endless Window showcase at this year’s NARC. Fest.”

Further stage announcements will be made over the coming weeks, keep an eye on our Facebook page for more info about the festival. All events are free entry!
