A music venue with a difference welcomes a trio of the North East’s brightest and best musicians
The Tanfield Railway in Gateshead has a rich history which dates all the way back to the birth of railways, and its future is set to look equally impressive too, with a transformation into a music venue with a difference just around the corner. Saturday 14th May sees some of the North East’s brightest and best music acts take to the stage, including The Lake Poets, Hyde & Beast and Eva Stone.
The heritage railway that usually runs steam train rides over the 3 mile line now hosts excellent music in a show which coincides with the nationwide Museums at Night celebrations which aims to attract visitors into museums, galleries and heritage sites by throwing their doors open after hours and putting on special evening events. This is a truly special gig with an impressive bill too; The Lake Poets‘ honest, raw songwriting complimented by the retro glam rock of Hyde & Beast, and Eva Stone‘s dusty pop rounds out an impressive bill.
