The idea of a gig cram-packed with a bundle of some of the North East’s most exciting music makers should be enough to get anyone all giddy. Glen Jamieson is hosting just that at North Terrace on Saturday 5th December, with the added bonus that it’s all in aid of Cancer Research UK and will end in him shaving his barnet off. Intriguing!

The night will consist of therunningchelsea, a folk outfit who have been under the radar for some time; however their peculiar albeit delightful tunes enchant an audience, and create a sound that nestles straight into your happy place.

Glaswegian shoegaze four-piece Life Model are guaranteed to wisp you up with their delicate noise pop, feisty dynamics and lovely wee Scottish accents bearing a splendid merger of Slowdive and Twin Atlantic .

Profumo, hailing from our beloved Tyneside, will bestow their socially –focused 80’s bravado upon the night, their indie rock compulsion of swirly guitar and softly spoken words reminiscent of the likes of Belle & Sebastian.

Completing the night will be Billingham duo Mouses, renowned for their wild racket making, infectious energy and lo-fi punk rock bangers; and their impulsive live performances are enough to get the most reluctant of folk up and dancing.

Mouses, Profumo, Life Model and therunningchelsea play North Terrace, Newcastle Saturday 5th of December with tickets on the justgiving page to do your bit for charity!
