Delightfully heavy rhythms that cascade into frenzied riffs accompanied by frontwoman Becky Blomfield’s innocent vocals are undeniably mastered by Stroud outfit, Milk Teeth. Gloucestershire seems rather a strange place to be birthing the latest punk rock extraordinaire, but their unusual hailing shouldn’t be brushed under the carpet. The determination required to break into the industry via a relatively under the radar area is a struggle by default, and the four piece have kicked, punched and combusted into a 90’s grunge and angst-ridden sound that has fuelled a firing intrigue.

Their Sad Sack EP zooms through the tracks with screeched lyrics about the struggles of youth and growing up, with so much booming percussion that it makes you feel a little dizzy (in the best fashion, of course).

With an upcoming stint at Newcastle’s Think Tank? on Tuesday 3rd May, be sure to clad yourself in your finest plaid and please, we beg, don’t go donning your finest shoes.

Milk Teeth play Think Tank?, Newcastle on Tuesday 3rd May.
