Maximo Park are probably one of the best loved bands to emerge from the region, a fact that’s become quickly apparent since they announced a string of shows celebrating the tenth anniversary of their debut album A Certain Trigger. Since the announcement, all of the band’s shows across the country have sold out but hardcore fans in the region needn’t worry too much as they’ve just announced another special date at Hartlepool Borough Hall on 12th December.

The date – which comes nearly a whole month after their massive gig at Newcastle’s City Hall – will see the group performing the Mercury Prize-nominated album in its entirety, including all their wonderfully frenetic early singles, such as Apply Some Pressure, The Coast Is Always Changing and Going Missing. It’ll also be a chance to see the band air some rarities that can also be found on the coinciding release of B-sides and demos from 2005 sessions, Missing Songs, which is available from 30th October.

Those wanting to get in on the action in Hartlepool will have to act fast as the tickets are likely to sell like hot cakes. They go on sale from 9am on Friday 18th September.

Maximo Park will play at Hartlepool’s Borough Hall on Saturday 12th December.
