The band are rereleasing A Certain Trigger and also sharing rarities with fans
It’s been a whole ten years since Newcastle favourites released their debut, Mercury Prize-nominated album A Certain Trigger. Since then they’ve become one of the north east’s biggest bands, releasing four other critically acclaimed albums, playing around the world and becoming renowned for their energetic live shows.
To celebrate the tenth anniversary of A Certain Trigger’s release, the band are going on a small tour in November, playing the album in its entirety alongside single tracks and rarities. On Thursday 19th November, they’ll return to their hometown to play at Newcastle’s City Hall, to what will no doubt be a packed audience. The album is also being re-released as a remastered edition in October, which will be accompanied by Missing Songs – a collection of B-Sides and rarities – which will be available on a limited edition vinyl run.
In the lead up to the 10th Anniversary shows, the band are also sharing a rarity every week on their official website, where you can currently find original demo versions of A Certain Trigger and Now I’m All Over The Shop.
It’s exciting times from the Maximo Park camp, and is a period that will no doubt delight fans across the region.
