The alt-pop artist launches a kickstarter campaign to fund her new EP, Summer Up North
Left-field pop-artist, Martha Hill left her rural Scottish home aged 17 to busk her way around Europe, before settling down in Newcastle and establishing herself as a solo artist. Her new EP, Summer Up North, reflects on her experiences living in the North-East and her days spent busking on Northumberland Street. It was paid for with Help Musicians Do It Differently fund, recorded with producer Julien Flew via Zoom during lockdown and now the final step is to release it, which you can help do via Martha’s Kickstarter campaign.
There are some great rewards on offer, including merchandise designed by local artist Tamsin Daisy Rees, digital copies of the tracks, a hand-made lyric book and even an intimate full-band gig in your living room. To donate, click here.
