It’s a very Kobadelta Khristmas as the five-piece Newcastle band are playing with fellow local indie-rockers Bernaccia and Schultz at the Head of Steam on Saturday 27th December.

Dabbling in dark indie-psych rock, Kobadelta have had an amazing 2014 after supporting the likes of Temples and Splashh while also releasing their latest EP Remain Distracted. The band’s muscular, full-blooded take on psychedelia makes them unique within the genre. Remain Distracted is their strongest work yet, with the band’s most muscular and confident works to date; you can expect them to play the EP at the show.

Meanwhile, Bernaccia’s CINEMA EP was also released this year, showcasing the band’s blues-tinged take on psych-rock. Their knack for storytelling and lyrical deft make them a seriously juicy prospect.

After forming in 2013, Schultz have honed their signature sound by combining psych with the technical aspects of math rock and the expansive soundscapes of shoegaze and ambient music. Live, they’re known for creating huge walls of sound fuelled by raw energy.
