Music fans grab your red biros and mark Sunday 1st May firmly into your diaries! Taking off from last year’s success, the good folks from Into Tomorrow are at it again, and have programmed a stonking May Day festival, cannily titled Into Teesside. Inspired by the area’s strong and historic live music scene, it’s another example of what happens when good people get together to create good things.

Joining forces with Middlesbrough’s TSOne bar, the day promises free admission paired with high quality entertainment, with 15 bands and artists making up a strong line-up from start to finish.

Hartlepool’s very own The White Negroes will shake your bones early as they open up the show in their own emphatic style; they’ll be followed by indie alt. rockers Social Room; acid folkers Punk Buddha; the magical fury that is Be Quiet. Shout Loud!; indie folk band John & The Ragmen; Teesside supergroup The Magick Godmothers; acoustic artist Megan Dotchen and blues rock headliners The Purnells, who end the day in fitting style! Days like this deserve your attention, embrace it, support it and enjoy it!

Into Teesside Festival takes place at TSOne, Middlesbrough on Sunday 1st May.
