Anyone who heads to the High Bridge Quarter for its Summer Festival will know what to expect from its Christmas offering (even though this is the first one). Expect numerous stalls offering a wide variety of delicious street food, mulled wine/cider, much-needed other hot drinks and an abundance of merriment! Stalls include French Oven, Papa Ganoush, Sloppy Joes, Piggin Lush, Monsieur Crepe, Dabbawal, Blakes Coffee House and Red House.

There’s also the public premiere of Enchantment, a new film by international artist Nicola Zena Lumley, which will almost certainly calm the already frazzled nerves of visitors looking to escape the shopping madness. The seventeen minute long piece (all shot on location in the North East) is a feast of imagery and music and invites you into a magical world, inspired by the beauty of nature. It’s sure to be uplifting and inspiring. It will be shown every hour from 4pm.

The High Bridge Christmas Market takes place on Saturday 13th December.
