It’s not often you’ll find four bands who represent so much of what is great about the current music scene on one bill, but that’s exactly what’s on offer on Sunday 3rd April at Northumberland Arms, Newcastle. Promoters Canteen Concert Club have excelled themselves in bringing together exciting, enchanting, vibrant music to make for what should be a captivating evening.

FVNERALS will beguile with slow, introspective, beautifully crafted songs where ethereal vocals pull you in to the the dream world they carefully craft. Nottingham’s Dystopian Future Movies have rich, experimental post-rock utterly nailed; fuzzy guitars give a backdrop for frontwoman Caroline Cawley’s vocals to swoop in and out of. Baker Island bring some slightly poppier sensibilities to proceedings, though with such a quirky twist, the Newcastle band are one that really stand out from their contemporaries. Rounding it all out are fellow North East rising stars Fractions; their gothic tinged synth-pop is the perfect addition to a very special line-up.

Fvnerals, Dystopian Future Movies, Baker Island and Fractions play Northumberland Arms, Newcastle on Sunday 3rd April.
