The Mackem band join an already impressive line-up at the Yorkshire festival
Joining an already highly eclectic lineup at this year’s Willowman Festival in Knayton, near Thirsk in North Yorkshire, cheeky Sunderland indie-rockers Frankie & The Heartstrings have been confirmed for the event. After recently touring a variety of small venues, the group will take a break from running Pop Recs to appear at the festival.
They’ll be joining the likes of Liverpudlian legends Echo and the Bunnymen, former New Order man Peter Hook and the Light and veteran punk band Goldblade on the line-up. Also appearing at the event are the Alan Hull Songbook, who’ll be performing intimate versions classic hits written by the Lindisfarne singer-songwriter, including a host of tunes never heard before live.
Now in its sixth year, the Willowman Festival has gained an impressive reputation for remaining affordable despite bringing a host of highly established and emerging acts to North Yorkshire.
