It’s incredible to think that it’s been a decade since Emmy The Great unleashed her classic anti-folk debut album First Love, but what’s more incredible is that she’s taking the album back on the road, calling in at Newcastle’s Cluny on Wednesday 29th May. The Hong Kong-born Londoner Emma-Lee Moss has released two records since, including the haunting break-up masterpiece Virtue and 2016’s technology embracing Second Love. But it’s our first love we remember the most and with it comes such great songs as the Jack Bauer-inspired 24, the MIA-inspired MIA, and the infectious lament We Almost Had A Baby. Lyrically sublime and musically inventive, Emmy’s baby is all grown up and turning ten this year, so come join in the celebrations!

Not only will Emmy be commemorating the 10th birthday of First Love, but she’s also releasing the album on vinyl for the first time with new liner notes, so there’s extra reason to celebrate. Award-winning musician, artist, multimedia performer, producer and curator Bishi will be joining Emmy to perform her own brand of indie, electronica and folk, so it promises to be an exciting bill of new and old.
